How To Get Your Body Summer Ready – Tiny Changes = Long Term Results

Let's sOCEANize :)
how to get your body summer ready

It is common to start worrying how to get your body ready for summer when summer is coming. Few tiny changes in your everyday routines are able to lead to long-term effect of having your dream body. And there is no rocket science there.

It is all about changing some daily routines and mindset to look good, feel great and not just in summer but all year long 🙂

How To Get Your Body Summer Ready – Tiny Changes Leading to Long Term Effect

As I was researching how to get your body ready for summer, it quickly became clear the two most important factors are healthy eating and doing regular exercise.

While I saw all types of short cuts to getting a summer beach body being mentioned, the most reputable and reliable experts all pointed out a good beach body is about more than washboard abs and bulging muscles.

If I wanted to have a great summer beach body I realized I would have to focus on improving my overall health and well-being. The most effective way to do that is to eat a nutritious diet and do regular exercise.

Just 2 Changes in Your Daily Routines – But Many Important Benefits

Eating a nutritious, well-balanced, diet and following a well thought out exercise and fitness program provides many important benefits.

Not only does it help you to have a body that looks great on the beach during the summer, it helps you to remain healthy, avoid many debilitating ailments and diseases and helps your mind and body perform at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.

Doing some research helped me to get a clearer understanding of the big picture.

While having a body that looks great in summer beach wear is great, preventing illness and maintaining proper health and vitality all year long is more important.

A Balanced Diet

The first step I needed to take to have a beautiful summer beach body was to make sure to eat a balanced diet every day. That means making sure each meal has the proper percentage of protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, calcium, vitamins, minerals and water.

In planning my meals, I had to make a point to include lean meat, wild-caught, omega-3 fatty acid-rich fish, whole grains, healthy oils and fats and fresh fruits and vegetables.

This helps my body look and feel good from the inside out, supercharges my metabolism and makes my bones and muscles strong and powerful.

Lots Of Fruits And Vegetables

Eating lots of fruits and vegetables helps to improve your health, detoxify your body and control your weight.

There are many excellent, very tasty, nutritious, spring fruits and vegetables. They include asparagus, berries, leeks, mangoes, pineapples, rhubarb, spinach, strawberries and watercress. They are great to eat every day in meals and drinks.

Plus, fruits and vegetables are chock full of both vitamins and minerals and are super versatile. I learned how to use them to make juices, salads and smoothies to alleviate hunger.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies daily can help to improve the health of your skin, hair, mind and body and burn excess calories.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Drinking enough water daily is vital regardless of the season. It’s particularly important during spring and summer when your body needs more fluids.

Having healthy skin is essential for having an attractive summer beach body. When you are dehydrated, your skin looks dry, saggy and unhealthy and you are more likely to suffer from acne.

As I was working on my summer beach body, I was encouraged to develop the habit of drinking between 6 and 8 glasses of water every day. It also helped give me a better beach body when I avoided drinking coffee, soda and drinks with lots of sugar.

The Importance Of Regular Physical Activity

Regular physical activity is not only essential if you want a svelte, powerful, gorgeous, summer beach body, it also enhances your overall health. Being active each day doing moderate-intensity exercises and activities provides a wide range of benefits.

Beyond the fact it helps make your body look buff, it will improve your metabolism, substantially reduce your risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, colon cancer and having a stroke or falling victim to coronary heart disease. Regular exercise and other types of physical activity also helps with weight control.

Stronger Bones And Muscles

More important than giving you a body that will look good on the beach during summer, regularly doing exercise and remaining physically actives helps make your bones, muscles, and joints healthier, helps relieves arthritis pain and reduces the symptoms of both anxiety and depression. Plus, people who are involved in regular activity and exercise tend to need less medications and fewer doctor’s visits and hospitalizations.

The physical activity does not have to be strenuous in order to be beneficial.

Doing 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity like brisk walking 5 days a week helps give you a better summer beach body and enhances your overall health.

Helps The Young And The Old

Exercise benefits people of all ages and improves the way young and old bodies look when they hit the beach. Plus, moderate-intensity physical activity and regular exercise helps prevent obesity in young people and keeps them in good physical condition. It also improves the strength and balance of older adults and reduces the occurrence of falls that can injure them.

Exercising regularly helped give me a stronger, more sculpted and attractive body when I hit the beach during the summer. It also improved my overall health and made doing my everyday activities, faster, easier and a lot more fun.

Physical Activities That Enhance Fitness And Health

If you are wondering how to get your body summer ready, there are a number of things you can do.

To get my head-turning summer beach body, I did push-ups, sit-ups and weight training. I also regularly did some running, walking and swimming. Plus, I hit the hiking trails, played some soccer, basketball and a few other sports.

In addition, I regularly took the stairs instead of riding the elevator, revved up my household chores like moving the lawn and raking leaves and worked up a sweat and had fun going dancing with friends. Regularly doing a combination some of these things is how to get your body summer ready.

More Than Just A Beach Body

Doing regular exercise and a combination of other physical activities does more than give you a beautiful beach body.

Combining moderate and vigorous activity boosts you health, makes you feel better and gives you more energy, regardless of your age or sex. It also helps you burn off excess calories, boost ‘good’ high-density lipoprotein, decrease unhealthy triglycerides, prevent high blood pressure, lose excess weight and keep it off and combat a variety of health conditions and diseases.

Some other health conditions regular exercise helps to prevent and treat include:

  • Heart Disease
  • Stroke
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Cancer
  • Arthritis

Experts say exercise helps to improve cognitive function as well as lowers the risk of premature death from all causes.

How Else Physical Activity Helps

When people do exercise and are otherwise physically active it helps in many other ways. They include:

  • Improves Mood
  • Relieves Stress
  • Provides An Emotional Lift
  • Stimulates The Release Of Brain Chemicals That Make People Feel Happier
  • Boosts Your Confidence
  • Improves Your Self-Esteem
  • Builds Muscle Strength
  • Increases Endurance
  • Promotes Better Sleep
  • Enhances Sexual Arousal In Women And Combats Erectile Dysfunction

The Bottom Line

Eating a nutritious, well-balanced, diet and regularly doing exercise and participating in a range of moderate to high intensity aerobic physical activity isn’t only how to get your body ready for summer.

It also helps you enjoy a better quality of life.

If you want to lower your risk of developing debilitating health conditions, supercharge your metabolism, control your weight and look and feel great, eat a well-balanced, nutrient-rich diet and regularly participate in strength training exercise and other types of moderate to vigorous physical activity.

Getting your body beach ready may be the least important benefit.

I agree with you completely, a combination of eating healthy and physical activity is the only way to get that summer body you want. Unfortunately for me, I love sweets! But my wife and I work out together and motivate each other to eat healthy, and that helps out a lot. It’s not an overnight change, but we have both noticed good changes as we continue to follow the plan.

This is a very useful article, getting your body ready for summer can sometimes be a very difficult thing when you don’t know how to do it the right way. What I think helps the most is just watching what you eat, according to my research, i found out that what we ingest into our system determines 80% of how our body shape reacts. Thanks for sharing these tips, they are very useful and will help people fall into shape for summer. I’ll share it to some other platforms.

It’s always good to keep fit at all times and this can be achieved by monitoring what we eat and the physical activities we engage in like exercises. Having that hourglass shape, that flat belly and all is something we all love and this article will help us know how to go about it. Balanced diet is also very effective, diets like keto and lots more can be of great help. It’s very thoughtful of you to share this article.

This a great beginning, and fun.  The content under your advertisement said your content is protected.  I like the way your site looks and the various approaches you give.  The idea of health is so important when dieting to get into a bathing suit. Good luck with this.  Thank You. Krista

You’ve shared great tips here. I think a combination of things as you explained, diet, exercise, helps to maintain to get the summer body. I also think avoiding stress is important. It is also good to be emotionally aware. I feel that most times we focus on the outward and not pay enough attention to how we feel inside.Wrong eating may be due to emotional reasons.

Some people say one should only eat when hungry, what do you think?

    • Arta

      Hey there

I wouldn’t want to agree to those saying that you should only eat when you are hungry – it is a well-known fact that whenever you are hungry, you tend to eat more than you actually need as it takes about 20 minutes till your brain gets the message that you are full.

      Cheers, Arta

Although now it’s winter but I still love the article, it reminds me of these summer days when I feel not ready for it, sweat and dizzy and dehydrate feeling. Looks like I should get well prepared for next summer! I will try these ideas on post like drinking more and exercise more. Thanks!

  7. Julianne

Great post here and I value all of these here. Thanks for sharing all of these here. For a truth, I wish that a lot of people can get access to this information. As simple as these two tips are, they can go a long way in making the long term benefits for the body. Eating the balanced meals would enable us to live peacefully and healthy also, it would enable us to be active enough in physical activities. Thanks.

Your article about how to get lose weight and get ready for summer really resonates with me, especially as you say small changes lead to long term results. I had an eating disorder for 8 years and tried every diet imaginable, nearly starving myself and losing weight in a short amount of time, only to gain it all back through binging. But then I developed a similar idea of small changes = long term results. I changed my diet and introduced exercise gradually…creating a healthy lifestyle over time, not just going on another diet. What also really helped me was taking some time each day to tune into my emotions, especially to tell myself I love myself, and this small action over time was what really helped me lose the weight and keep it off. Lots of great info here! Thanks for sharing 🙂

    Hi, There.
Thanks for sharing your views on how to get our body summer ready. Eating a well balanced diet is the summery of all questions because our unhealthy habits force us to eat anything and everything, the outcome is soon visible on our tummy and under eyes. Of course regular  exercise is must and truly speaking, as you suggested, consistency pays the reward of good shape. Thanks for your informative article.
    Warm Regards,
    Gaurav Gaur

I concur with you totally a mix of eating well and physical movement is the best way to get that Summer Body you need. shockingly for me I love sweet! however, my better half and I turn out together and spur each other to eat healthy, and that healps out a great deal. it isn’t medium-term change, yet we have both notice great changes as we keep on following the arrangement.

  11. Leo

Very nice article.  I don’t think I would look good in a Tankini swimsuit since I am a male but my other half surely would.  Staying fit is a challenge for most of us with a job and family.  Your information was well put and gives us many ways to attack the problem of getting enough exercise,  For those of us with children I feel that it is a good idea to include them in many of our activities and to participate with them in theirs.  This will encourage them to follow this pattern as they grow older and possibly become parents.  As you stated proper diet is of utmost importance. To show my son how much raw sugar he was consuming from his soft drinks I put the number of grams of sugar he consumed per bottle into a wine glass.  He quickly removed soft drinks from his diet and start drinking healthy drinks and more spring water.  I also included Moringa oleifera in our diet.  It is a superfood and has many health benefits. There is a good article about it at ‘for health and wellbeing’.  Thanks for the ideas and keep the great information coming.  The time to get ready for a healthier life is NOW.

  12. Anastazja

Although you site is primarily for women,  i went ahead and read the article think in terms of general health and weight loss.  Your article is very practical for men or women in terms of diet and activity.  This was apparent in your list of benefits of physical activity.  I am going to pass the article to my wife not necessarily for her opinion but because of the healthy advice it gives.  The article is well written, well organized and very informative.

  13. Katja

I love how you stated – tiny changes bring long term results. I couldn’t agree more – it’s all in the details.

Indeed, the physical activity does not have to be crazy long and exhausting to be beneficial. I think nowadays there is too much ‘’craziness’’ going around, with people over-exercising. No wonders they then loose motivation and never really change their lifestyle. It goes the same for dieting…

Being in the middle of winter season here in Europe: YES, summer rocks! 🙂

  14. Aye2019

Amazing article. This helps a lot. It reveals some truth about getting the perfect body you want. I have read it somewhere else that eating a balance diet meal and doing exercise can help you get into shape. This article is just confirming it. And I get more information here about getting a perfect beach body.

Thanks for taking your time to research and share this.

  15. PeterMinea

Preparing and keeping the body fit during the summer on the beach (and also swimming regularly during the whole season!) can help people have a good physical condition for the entire year.

You provided a lot of advice about maintaining a great health condition for the summer, and these required months of good food&exercise; routines can really make it easier to keep a good regime also for the rest of the time (till next summer), so that after finishing the holidays on the seaside, bad habits will not start to harm bodies again.

The beginning is the hardest; later, when there are so good results that are visible on the body (thanks to healthy meals, exercises, swimming, baths of sun…), someone would be sad about the idea of losing that great shape!

    Kind regards, Peter

  16. Kylie

Yes! Summer is what I look forward to the most! Because I can go to the beach every day! Yes, every day!

But, your writing reminds me that I should make my body ready for the coming summer. Moreover, on Christmas holidays, which make food everywhere. So that I just gained this weight around 10 lbs. So sad … But, I will start exercising again after the holiday season is over to restore my body shape.

By the way, in your opinion, what kind of exercise can be very effective in restoring body shape?

    • Arta

      Hey Kylie

We are so different and so are our bodies – each of us has our “problem” areas so it is hard to define the exercise. I could share my experience – for me the most effective combination is healthy eating and running – this is a long term project but it does help me to stay healthy and fit, and to restore my pre-kids body shape.

      Cheers, Arta

  17. MrBiizy

Hello there. Thank you for sharing this guide on how I can get my body ready for summer. Personally, I have also seen some short cuts online but all these shortcuts to get a summer beach body are probably waste of time, temporary and can probably affect our overall health. So I agree with you 100% that the best way to get a summer beach body is through good nutrition and balanced diet plus regular body exercises. That’s the best way ever!

    Thanks for the recommendation.

We are living within the pill society.

    * Do you have a headache? Here is a red pill for that!

    * Do you want to get rich? Take this green pill and you’ll be ready to go on vacations next month!

    * Do you want a perfect body? Here’s a magic brown pill for that too…

No way to get sustainable results without consistent and persistent in pursuing what you want through the common sense driven – well known facts.

Thanks a lot for sharing this with us! Nevertheless it will be of great help for those who take the determination and compromise to be a better version of themselves.

I desperately need to get rid or my beer belly this year (I’ll follow this… The right path).

  19. Dave

I’ve just read your article on fitness and wonder you followed a structured training plan for your work outs.

I need to focus the next 6 months on making big changes mentally and physically nd Im trying to work out a routine tat will help me achieve good results.

Fruits and vegetables are so important to our mental and physical wellbeing and I need to find ways to drastically increase my consumption

  20. Jennie

Thanks for all this advice! As I have aged, I realized that I can’t do all that I used to do and even if I could my metabolism has slowed down which makes losing weight harder.  This post gives me hope because it provides a different perception of getting ready for the summer and having a healthy, great body overall.  After reading this, I realize I don’t have to go hardcore in the gym daily, but to just change my daily routines.  This will help me improve my life in many ways.  I am setting up a plan for the new year using some of what you provided, and I am going to reach my goals! Thanks for the information!

  21. JJ

I have been paying attention to my health by going to the gym (2 years now) and trying to eat a balanced meal and healthy snacks. At first it seemed quite a chore, but when, last month I went on an outing to Breadnut waterfalls, I felt good that I looked good in my swimsuit which I hadn’t worn for a long time. Working for a summer body is not only a short term goal but the lifestyle change and long term health benefits are valuable. Thank you

  22. Nuttanee

Thank you for sharing your tips! I have gained quite a few pounds over the holidays and something has to be done. You are absolutely right about eating healthy. I always feel lean and less bloated when I eat whole organic foods. They are easier for my body to digest and best of all I feel satiated. That I can work on but the exercise can be tricky, I guess I just have to find the class or the exercise that I enjoy and take it from there.

    Summer rocks!

  23. Alketa

Hello, Your advice and tips for getting our body ready for summer are helpful. I find this article educative for everyone that needs to change their nutrition habits and wants to achieve his goals to live healthily and have perfect shapes for the next summer. Many of these tips I have used during my pregnancy, and I didn’t gain weight.
    Thank you

  24. Wanda

Hi and what a great article.  Expecting it to be all about swimsuits, you took the expected twist to talk to us about our eating and exercise habits.  What a great twist.  I agree with you to get that Beach Body, you need to eat wisely and exercise, and do this year round.  It took me until my mid-forties to really see the benefit of a proper diet and physical exercise.  I can say that I do sway off that track from time to time, but soon realize I need to get back on it.

We are getting closer to summer weather again, here in Canada, so let’s get back on the right track with exercise and diet.  There are so many things we can do to increase our physical exercise, which you listed several.  Your blog has reminded me of the importance to my health as well.

Glad I was able to find your website, learnt a lot from you!

  25. JealousLi

I like your post. Seriously, I also want to have a dream body, but sometimes I do n’t achieve a balanced diet, which causes my body to become a bit fat. You mentioned in the post, for example, A Balanced Diet, Lots Of Fruits And Vegetables, Drink Plenty Of Water, etc., I think they are very scientific.
    Finally, thank you for sharing.

  26. Benny

Hello, I really want to first appreciate your effort in putting this great website together and writing this article. i have always tried to master the habit of drinking enough water regularly as its benefits are limitless. i still have to put conscious effort into taking in vegetables as often as possible. thank you for this review

  27. Feji ben

Hello there, thanks for this awesome article it would be of great help to the public as it has been of help to me.iistvsay that the summer season is fast approaching and we must be prepared for what awaits us and this tips would go a long way to get out body preaped and well set for this Dearing season.

  28. Carol

To get a dream body from a body fitness routine, all the necessary things must be put in place, one of them is the need for a durable swimsuit for swimming classes.

I think this article is a good one to prepare one for summer changes, so as not to be doing the same thing Noe and then without getting any tangible result.

A good number of tiny changes in a fitness class are highly essential as they prove that the routine is not amounting to a waste of time and resources.

  29. Christine

Fruits and vegetables are indeed very good for your health. I eat lots of them! Exercise is also very important. I don’t do specific exercise, but I am always moving around on my land, so I do walk a lot, and that counts as exercise too, doesn’t it? Push ups and sit ups are also great. Perhaps I could work that into my routine. If I haven’t done that in years, how do you suggest I’d start? First a warm up and then a small amount of push ups and sit ups? First about 5 or what would be ideal?

    • Arta

      Hey Christine

Your plan sounds great to me – please do like this and your body will be summer ready for sure.

      Go, go, go 🙂

  30. Tucker

I’ve personally been packing on a little extra weight for the colder winter days, but it’s really good to start thinking about preparing my body for summer. I think the dietary changes are something that I can start making right now though. My partner and I eat mostly plant-based, but I really like your recommendation on including wild-caught fish or other lean sources of protein. What other sources of lean protein do you recommend?

    • Arta

      Hey Tucker

I would suggest you including beans, peas, chicken, low fat cottage cheese and tofu in your menu – these are proven to be very useful and healthy products.

      Hope this helps!

  31. Iyke

To get into a great and desirable shape for the summer can be viewed as a target or goal. it is no news now that goals are achievable especially with focus and discipline.

Like you’ve clearly pointed out, little, consistent and sustainable changes can quickly add up. The aim with this kind of approach would be to key into the habit factor so that you can apply and maintain those tiny changes over a long period.

Of course, when a great summer body is your aim, your diet would play a major role. I’m not saying its easy, and I can tell because I have a sister who is trying to achieve the same but is finding it really difficult to maintain a diet that supports her goals.

Great post, I’m glad you shared

  32. Nimrodngy

Hello. Thanks a lot for sharing with us such an amazing content.

This year 2020 I set myself to lose weight and have a healthy life. One of the main reasons is the beach. I love to visit countries with sea and oceans where I can go to the beach. The only disadvantage is that my body appearance is not how I would like it to be. The most pleasant feeling is when you undress and are proud of your body. I totally agree that exercise and healthy eating are the key to this success. Someone told me that 80% is healthy food and 20% is sports. What do you say about that, is that so?

Thanks again for this. Wish you the best and a happy new year.

    • Arta

      Hey there

      Thank you for your comment.

I would say that the percent depends from person to person. Without doubt, healthy food and sports go together and the best results are achieved when those 2 goes hand in hand.

The percentage of sports depends on your abilities and capabilities but one is clear – people are born for movement so we have to be active – it is our nature so it is “a must” to stay healthy.

Many of contemporary health problems arise due to lack of physical activities so the more you move the healthier you are. And if accompanied with healthy eating – this is the direct and shortest path to health and well-being.

      Hope this helps, Arta

  33. Shanta Rahman

Thank you so much for sharing with us such a beautiful article .I am very aware of my health as well as my skin .Especially during the summer .At this time, the skin becomes dry due to excess sun and health looks worse if not taken care of properly .But I didn’t quite understand how to take care of this .That’s when your article caught my eye .I’m so glad I found my solution .I will definitely do my diet and put lots of fruits and vegetables in the list of foods. Drink lots of water. Regular physical exercises will prepare my bones and muscels.I will definitely use a good sunscreen lotion next to my regular cream when it comes out. However, sunscreen lotion will be a good brand and what the price might be?And do they have any side effects? And that’s how I’ll keep my skin ready for summer for the farm .

    • Arta

      Hey Shanta

Thanks for your comment and I am glad my article has helped you.

Regarding sunscreen, please have a look here to find a detailed information on sun protection and how to keep yourself protected when exposed to sun. But here, in its turn, you will find a thorough guide on how to choose the most suitable sunscreen.

      Hope this helps, Arta

I, first of all, thank you for the hard work you put in to bring this website together. I again thank you for the valuable content you provide. I enjoyed reading this article. Thanks for the great insight and this site is very useful. balanced diet and exercise are the best way for good health. I have been practicing this for quite long and i do not regret it.

  35. Bobbi

Okay this is what I was looking for, every year, after the holidays, I go through this thing of, hmm I did put on some wait and how do I get rid of it when it comes time for shorts, etc. I am older, but I don’t like to look my age. Eating right and exercise is definitely the way to go. I think the tummy control, tankini stylish collection is the best for my age. Love this website and I will be back. I do need a new swimsuit this year.

  36. Ann

Hi! I have already started worrying. And you’re right, we can accomplish so much by changing some small daily routines. My personal takeaway after reading your post has been to drink a lot of water and eat more fruits. I know I won’t have any problem with the later, I love fruits. But I’ll have to really focus on having more water.

    Thanks for this post!

  37. sabrinamou

Thank you so much for sharing with us such a beautiful article. I am glad to see your article. And summer is only a few months later. We all know Summer is the hottest of the four temperate seasons. During this time the temperature of the sun is very high. So we all have to take care of our bodies at this time. After reading your article I find out how to get ready our body for summer. I think A balanced diet is also very effective, diets like keto and lots more can be of great help. definitely, I will try these ideas/tips on the post. Your article is really unique and informative. If you don’t mind, I will share this article on my social media account.

  38. Hi Jessie

I really enjoyed your article; it had very useful information that can be implemented now. Back in 2011, I joined Weight Watchers and adhered to it religiously and was able to lose over 30 lbs in 6 months and that was not really doing much exercise. So, fast forward to today… of course I’ve not done WW since then and I have pretty much been able to keep the weight off … but my life has had some changes and I can tell that my habits are not as committed as they used to be and with that … I can feel my weight creeping up on me … so thank you for helping to motivate me again to take care of “me” in everything I do in my daily routines. I for sure don’t want to start having health problems … so onward with the decision to make new changes for “me”.

  39. Danijel

Hello, I must say that this article is very helpful and informative. I think that now is the right time to start doing on our body shape as summer will soon be here. I need to lose some pounds and gain muscle mass, your tips are very useful. I will definitely share it with my friends who have the same problem with kilograms.

  40. Sonny

Thanks for sharing this information. It was truly enlightening. I know a few muscular friends and they say the same thing – diet is like 80% of bodybuilding. You are right when you said that a proper diet goes beyond achieving a  beach body, it’s effects are far-reaching and basically influence every aspect of our health whether we realize it or not

  41. Julius

I am not having the issues like probably most of the women have, and so to get fit into summer swimsuit, but I think your post is very well written and it is bringing value as well to me, as a man. I like your approach of changing small things in your daily routine and getting long term results-so all year long, as this should be purpose of everyone. As well as pointed by you, the outcome should be to not just look great, but as well to feel great. I love that you give an importance to the food and regular physical activity, because that’s crucial for everyone regardless of sex or age. I think overall you put together fascinating and yet easy to follow plan for those who are struggling to get the shape in and out they wish and deserve to have. Perfect work.Thank you!

  42. RazvanIlie

Thanks a lot for sharing with us such an amazing article about How To Get Your Body Summer Ready Tiny Changes Long Term Results.

Thanks for this useful information. I really want to lose weight in the summer and have an enviable body, so far I have tried the paleo diet, but with these tips it will be easier for me to save. By the summer I want to change both physically and mentally.

Thanks again and I wish you all the best.

  43. Parameter

Thank you for this article, a balanced diet is essential in our everyday diet. Although summer comes with its uniqueness but even during winter and autumn it is essential we consistently put into high consideration what we eat.
Like you rightly pointed out, dehydration is not healthy for the skin, as such we need to take in a lot of water during summer and also autumn

Great article and just in time because if we are thinking about summer, now is a good time to start getting ready. I found great tips in this post, and what I need to start doing now is to bring in more fresh food and drink a lot more water than I drink now.
Also, I train three times a week, but it would be nice to spend more time in the open air, and so consider introducing daily walks or biking.

Hi there. I found very valuable information here. In today’s rushed lifestyle, keeping your body and mind active and healthy is of utmost importance. I am very blessed to have a family who absolutely loves drinking water as well as eating raw veggies and fruit. My kids also takes part in various physical activities during the week. Do you have any tips or ideas for getting the adults in our family more active?

    • Arta

      Hi Francis

It all starts with the right mindset and a wish. Once you have a wish to become little bit more active – you will. And sometimes this wish can be achieved by a little motivation.

For instance, my first motivation was new running shoes and I started running as I liked these shoes a lot and couldn’t wait till I put them on. After some time when the motivational effect of the shoes faded, I got Apple Watch – this was my second motivator and it still is. So from time to time it is useful to motivate yourself 🙂

      Hope this helps, Arta

Hey I really liked this article but I am a man and while I have an interest in ladies bathing suits from a sartorial perspective! What I was really interested to know is does your philosophy/regime here work equally well for men?

Really I was wondering if you know of any alterations or differences that you would apply if this was me wishing to cut a better figure in my speedos or my board shorts this summer.

This is not a flippant question I really am interested in hearing your view?

Thank you for your comment on how to get the body summer ready. Healthy eating and regular exercises benefit both men and women. So the tips given in this article apply to both genders and as long as you follow them – you will get to your summer body closer and closer.

      Hope this helps, Arta

Hi! I have been getting prepared for summer and there are a couple of simple tips you mentioned here that up to this point I had totally neglected. And one has been, believe it or not, drinking sufficient water. I’ll write it down in my routine now. And the other one was sleeping enough. It’s difficult, with so many things that must be tended. But I’ll also mark it down as a goal.

I want to participate in a fitness competition and I need to lose weight very fast. So I read as many articles as I could do, but this is the best I have read. If we eat healthily and make physical effort we will be able to reach where we set ourselves.

Thanks again and I wish you all the best.

I don’t think it’s appropriate or necessary in 2020 for women (or men for that matter) to worry about what they look like and whether their body is “beach ready” but it is really important to be as healthy as possible and to maintain a healthy body throughout as much of life as possible. The tips you give here will definitely help attain that.

Greetings!  This a topic that fits right into what we strive to practice in our own lives everyday.  My wife is a personal trainer, and together we provide services that cover total well-being.  This article is awesome and provides a guide for sustainable health and wellness.  The only other element that I would suggest adding to this is something that we ourselves focus on practicing, and share with our clients.  What I am referring to is the development of mindset.  Without being in the right frame of mind, and overcoming limited beliefs, or automatic negative thoughts, we may experience limited success with our health and fitness.  Making sure to implement a plan that is focused on movement, nutrition, and mindset will insure long term benefits.  Great information in this article…Thank you for sharing.

Great, I should show and recommend your website to my wife. She just mentioned that she want toost her weight this year and she sounds determined this time. I hope she can cut down on her weight by using your website. I also told her that she needs to start from her mind. A mindset that is ready to do whatever is necessary to follow the suggestion like you pointed out in your article. Thanks for your sharing and I will ask her to bookmark your website.

This is a great reminder of how small changes add up to big results over time. Little choices can add up to amazing outcomes, and it’s nice to think that all little actions do count.

Thanks for this article, definitely will be sharing it with my wife who is looking for more tips and tricks on shedding a few more pounds. Some of these things are really common sense, like maintaining a balanced diet, physical activity and drinking water, but are definitely not common practice because people are generally lazy.

    Thank you Arta for sharing.

The title of ‘body summer’ did catch my eyes there; yet I loved how you stated it was also about ‘feel great’ and not just ‘look good’. I could not agree more on this.

It was great that your post only emphasized on 2 changes only (and not 5-7 changes). If there are too many things to attend to at the same time, we easily lose focus and might even get demotivated for not achieving them. But if we only have 2 major things to make changes on, it would feel much less overwhelmed and easier to follow through.

Hello there, This is an amazing article that you have got here. The tips you offered are very helpful and important to undertake. There is no where in the world that balanced diet  and proper exercise have not been discussed. These are not just to get them ready for the summer like you said, but will allow them to get more from life.
