If I wanted to have a great summer beach body I realized I would have to focus on improving my overall health and well-being. The most effective way to do that is to eat a nutritious diet and do regular exercise.

Eating a nutritious, well-balanced, diet and following a well thought out exercise and fitness program provides many important benefits.

Not only does it help you to have a body that looks great on the beach during the summer, it helps you to remain healthy, avoid many debilitating ailments and diseases and helps your mind and body perform at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.

Doing some research helped me to get a clearer understanding of the big picture.

While having a body that looks great in summer beach wear is great, preventing illness and maintaining proper health and vitality all year long is more important.

The first step I needed to take to have a beautiful summer beach body was to make sure to eat a balanced diet every day. That means making sure each meal has the proper percentage of protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, calcium, vitamins, minerals and water.

Drinking enough water daily is vital regardless of the season. It’s particularly important during spring and summer when your body needs more fluids.

Having healthy skin is essential for having an attractive summer beach body. When you are dehydrated, your skin looks dry, saggy and unhealthy and you are more likely to suffer from acne.

As I was working on my summer beach body, I was encouraged to develop the habit of drinking between 6 and 8 glasses of water every day. It also helped give me a better beach body when I avoided drinking coffee, soda and drinks with lots of sugar.
