how to get your body summer ready

It is common to start worrying how to get your body ready for summer when summer is coming. Few tiny changes in your everyday routines are able to lead to long-term effect of having your dream body. And there is no rocket science there.

It is all about changing some daily routines and mindset to look good, feel great and not just in summer but all year long 🙂

How To Get Your Body Summer Ready – Tiny Changes Leading to Long Term Effect

As I was researching how to get your body ready for summer, it quickly became clear the two most important factors are healthy eating and doing regular exercise.

While I saw all types of short cuts to getting a summer beach body being mentioned, the most reputable and reliable experts all pointed out a good beach body is about more than washboard abs and bulging muscles.

If I wanted to have a great summer beach body I realized I would have to focus on improving my overall health and well-being. The most effective way to do that is to eat a nutritious diet and do regular exercise.

Just 2 Changes in Your Daily Routines – But Many Important Benefits

Eating a nutritious, well-balanced, diet and following a well thought out exercise and fitness program provides many important benefits.

Not only does it help you to have a body that looks great on the beach during the summer, it helps you to remain healthy, avoid many debilitating ailments and diseases and helps your mind and body perform at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.

Doing some research helped me to get a clearer understanding of the big picture.

While having a body that looks great in summer beach wear is great, preventing illness and maintaining proper health and vitality all year long is more important.

A Balanced Diet

The first step I needed to take to have a beautiful summer beach body was to make sure to eat a balanced diet every day. That means making sure each meal has the proper percentage of protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, calcium, vitamins, minerals and water.

In planning my meals, I had to make a point to include lean meat, wild-caught, omega-3 fatty acid-rich fish, whole grains, healthy oils and fats and fresh fruits and vegetables.

This helps my body look and feel good from the inside out, supercharges my metabolism and makes my bones and muscles strong and powerful.

Lots Of Fruits And Vegetables

Eating lots of fruits and vegetables helps to improve your health, detoxify your body and control your weight.

There are many excellent, very tasty, nutritious, spring fruits and vegetables. They include asparagus, berries, leeks, mangoes, pineapples, rhubarb, spinach, strawberries and watercress. They are great to eat every day in meals and drinks.

Plus, fruits and vegetables are chock full of both vitamins and minerals and are super versatile. I learned how to use them to make juices, salads and smoothies to alleviate hunger.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies daily can help to improve the health of your skin, hair, mind and body and burn excess calories.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Drinking enough water daily is vital regardless of the season. It’s particularly important during spring and summer when your body needs more fluids.

Having healthy skin is essential for having an attractive summer beach body. When you are dehydrated, your skin looks dry, saggy and unhealthy and you are more likely to suffer from acne.

As I was working on my summer beach body, I was encouraged to develop the habit of drinking between 6 and 8 glasses of water every day. It also helped give me a better beach body when I avoided drinking coffee, soda and drinks with lots of sugar.

The Importance Of Regular Physical Activity

Regular physical activity is not only essential if you want a svelte, powerful, gorgeous, summer beach body, it also enhances your overall health. Being active each day doing moderate-intensity exercises and activities provides a wide range of benefits.

Beyond the fact it helps make your body look buff, it will improve your metabolism, substantially reduce your risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, colon cancer and having a stroke or falling victim to coronary heart disease. Regular exercise and other types of physical activity also helps with weight control.

Stronger Bones And Muscles

More important than giving you a body that will look good on the beach during summer, regularly doing exercise and remaining physically actives helps make your bones, muscles, and joints healthier, helps relieves arthritis pain and reduces the symptoms of both anxiety and depression. Plus, people who are involved in regular activity and exercise tend to need less medications and fewer doctor’s visits and hospitalizations.

The physical activity does not have to be strenuous in order to be beneficial.

Doing 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity like brisk walking 5 days a week helps give you a better summer beach body and enhances your overall health.

Helps The Young And The Old

Exercise benefits people of all ages and improves the way young and old bodies look when they hit the beach. Plus, moderate-intensity physical activity and regular exercise helps prevent obesity in young people and keeps them in good physical condition. It also improves the strength and balance of older adults and reduces the occurrence of falls that can injure them.

Exercising regularly helped give me a stronger, more sculpted and attractive body when I hit the beach during the summer. It also improved my overall health and made doing my everyday activities, faster, easier and a lot more fun.

Physical Activities That Enhance Fitness And Health

If you are wondering how to get your body summer ready, there are a number of things you can do.

To get my head-turning summer beach body, I did push-ups, sit-ups and weight training. I also regularly did some running, walking and swimming. Plus, I hit the hiking trails, played some soccer, basketball and a few other sports.

In addition, I regularly took the stairs instead of riding the elevator, revved up my household chores like moving the lawn and raking leaves and worked up a sweat and had fun going dancing with friends. Regularly doing a combination some of these things is how to get your body summer ready.
